We're flying high with Qantas!
We are absolutely thrilled to share that Munda Wines has been selected for the prestigious Qantas International First and Business Class inflight wine program!
As Australia’s flagship carrier, Qantas curates one of the most respected airline wine programs in the world. It's broadly recognised as a specific and demanding benchmark that speaks to the inherit quality of the wines selected - and we're in some very good company.
Good neighbours tell great stories
Over many years, Qantas has featured wines from some of Australia’s most highly regarded producers including Penfolds, Henschke, Cullen Wines and Yalumba.
To sit alongside names of this calibre is both humbling and affirming. It places Munda Wines within a lineage of Australian producers who have been ambassadors for our country's wine story for generations - and we're excited to help write the next chapter.
For us, this story matters deeply. Munda Wines was founded on the belief that Australian wine carries stories far older than the industry itself, so to share our wines in a setting where they can quietly and confidently share those stories of Country to a global audience is incredibly powerful.
The Wines
Four of our wines have been selected by Qantas, and all will be showcased in International First and Business Class.

Some of our teams' firm favourites are on the list, and we've included links below if you're interested to learn more about each of these wines, and the beautiful Countries that have produced them.
The journey
Being selected for the inflight program is one thing. Actually getting the wines onto the planes is a whole other story, and one that involved a great many..... stickers. In addition to their stringent quality standards, Qantas has a dizzying array of requirements for its commercial partners, none so impactful as the need to comply with their international labelling frameworks.
For those in the wine industry the phrase 'over-stickering' will induce a familiar shudder. For our friends who may be unfamilar, this essentially involves unpacking a carton of wine, placing a small yet very specific sticker on a carefully designated spot on each bottle, repacking the carton, over-labelling the carton with two large code stickers and then re-stacking each carton onto a pallet, ready for shipping. Simple enough, yes, but now multiply that by five pallets, or ......... 3264 bottles of wine. Luckily, we had videographer Sam Winderlich along for the ride, so we can give you a look behind the scenes.
To the future!
This opportunity brings Munda Wines to new horizons. For new friends and fans, it brings us into a rarified space, proudly served alongside legends of the Australia wine industry.
For those already part of our community, it is a moment to pause and recognise how far we've come in five short years.
To be poured at 35,000 feet, alongside some of Australia’s most respected producers, is an honour and a dream come true.
We’re so proud to represent Country, culture and contemporary Australian winemaking on the world stage - bring on the next chapter.
