Our Winemaking
Our winemaking philosophy centers on restraint. We always want to showcase and highlight the characteristics of the munda - the land. In the winery we take a path of minimal intervention, and preference second and third use oak regimes to ensure this element of our winemaking has only a subtle influence. Finally, we bottle relatively early to capture the brightness and vibrancy of our wines.
Ultimately, we aim to create connection. By taking a restrained approach to any winemaking interventions, and allowing the natural personality of the wines to shine, we can connect people back to the landscapes, stories and munda of the land that produced them.
Bira Munda
Limited Release
Bira is the Wirangu word for Moon.
Our Bira Munda Limited Release wines capture the essence of a singular moment in time, much like the moon's unique phases.
Produced as once-only vintage releases from select wine regions across Australia, they offer the opportunity to explore a moment in place and time.
