The High Flyer pack brings together the four wines chosen by Qantas' expert sommelier panel, who taste more than 1,400 bottles over four days each year before making their selections, earning Munda Wines a place alongside icons such as Penfolds, Henschke, Cullen Wines, and Yalumba.
Our tasting journey begins in the far west, on Wadandi Country in Margaret River, where a Chardonnay of mineral precision and saline finesse has been shaped by 2.5-billion-year-old granite bedrock and the cooling breath of the Indian Ocean. We move east to Kaurna Country in McLaren Vale, where the ancient, iron-rich dunes of Blewitt Springs have produced a Syrah of vivid aromatics, supple structure, and graceful depth. From South Australia's Limestone Coast, the Potawurutj Cabernet Sauvignon speaks of Padthaway's red clay over limestone soils, offering lifted aromatics, layered dark fruit, and a long, structured finish. And in Victoria, the elevated volcanic slopes of Wurundjeri Country in the Yarra Valley have yielded a Pinot Noir of quiet elegance, fine tannins, and cherry-rich purity.
