Summer 2025/26

2023 Walgalu Chardonnay
(Tumbarumba)

As the days grow longer and light returns, we celebrate the freshness of spring with a wine that captures brightness in every sense - our 2023 Walgalu Country Chardonnay.

Grown on Walgalu Country in the high, cool reaches of Tumbarumba, this wine reflects the purity of its alpine origins. Morning mists and crisp mountain air nurture slow, even ripening, preserving delicate aromatics and natural acidity. The soils - a mosaic of granite and basalt - lend fine structure and mineral length.

In the glass, the Walgalu Chardonnay is all elegance and clarity: lifted citrus blossom and white nectarine layered with subtle oak spice and a gentle creaminess from time on lees. The palate is finely textured, beautifully balanced, and long through the finish - a wine of poise and quiet confidence.

Perfect for the season's first long lunches, pair it with grilled lobster, roast chicken with lemon and thyme, or a fresh salad of pear and pecorino. Each sip carries the brightness of high Country - a reminder of the clarity that comes with elevation and light.

At Munda Wines, we make wines that tell the story of land. This spring, experience the beauty of Walgalu Country through a Chardonnay that honours place, season, and the art of balance.
